A sanctuary for compassion by a mental health peer & advocate

About Mentalary

Mental health: a person’s condition with regard to their psychological and emotional well-being

Sanctuary: a place of refuge or safety

Talking about mental health doesn't have to be intimidating. That's why I started Mentalary — the mental health sanctuary. I share my experiences and hold safe space for you to share your journey, explore gentle practices, and receive encouragement.

Remember, you are not alone on this path. This sanctuary is dedicated to our mental well-being.

My name is Sherri. By day I work in sales communications. I like writing, photography, stickers, dolls, reading, and puzzles. I am married, have a son, and serve two dogs and a cat in a small town in southern New Jersey that I like to think of as my very own Hallmark town.

I also live with chronic depression and generalized anxiety disorder. A lot of people who've met me in person probably don't realize that because I smile a lot. The outer is not always a reflection of the inner.

You can read more of my story here.

I believe mental health conversations and healthcare access should be easy, much easier than they historically have been, so I'm talking about my experiences openly and I'm working on a Master's in Public Mental Health.

To anyone else who is suffering, we've got this. We do. It's not easy, but we will persevere.
